Seventy-two (72) instructors from provincially managed community colleges in Camarines Sur have successfully earned their Google Certified Educator Certification Levels 1 and 2, marking a significant milestone in the province’s ongoing digital transformation in education.
The newly certified educators teach at GMVCC campuses in Libmanan, Tinambac, Siruma, and Garchitorena, as well as Baao Community College (BCC). They completed their certification preparation during a two-day intensive Google Certified Educators training held on December 4–5, 2025 at the Digital Transformation Center, Capitol Complex, Pili. The training, conducted in partnership with Google Philippines, provided participants with hands-on experience and the competencies required to pass the international certification assessments.
Governor Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte Jr. commended the instructors for their achievement and emphasized the certification’s positive impact on the province’s education sector.
“This milestone clearly shows the progress we are making in strengthening the education sector in our province. The success of our instructors in earning Google certifications reflects the strong impact of our digital education program and supports our vision of building a Smarter CamSur, where we continue raising the standards of teaching and learning across the province,” Governor Villafuerte said.
Google Certified Educators are internationally recognized for their proficiency in utilizing digital tools such as Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms to enhance instruction, foster collaboration, and improve classroom management. By integrating these tools into their teaching practices, certified instructors can deliver more engaging lessons, provide timely feedback, and create more accessible and technology-driven learning environments.
The certification of 72 instructors strengthens the quality of education across CamSur’s community colleges and reinforces the Provincial Government’s commitment to modernizing instruction and equipping students with essential digital competencies aligned with global standards.
Building on this achievement, the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur is set to expand the program by training and supporting more instructors across all provincially managed community colleges. The initiative aims to increase the number of Google-certified educators in the province and further institutionalize digital upskilling among faculty members. Through sustained partnerships and continued investment in professional development, CamSur continues to move forward in delivering innovative, future-ready education for its students.
