TANDOC SEAPORT: A GATEWAY TO HISTORY. A BRIDGE TO THE FUTURE.

On the eastern mouth of San Miguel Bay, in Siruma, stands Tandoc Seaport—a port that once fueled trade, industry, and livelihoods for our people.

This video tells its story:

from its early role in the Spanish era,

to its industrial golden age,

through war, silence, and survival,

and now—to its long-overdue revival.

Today, I am proud to announce that funding has already been secured to redevelop, expand, and modernize the Tandoc Port.

Our vision is clear and bold:

A modern gateway for trade, goods, and people

A port capable of welcoming cargo vessels and cruise ships

A driver of jobs, livelihood, tourism, and investment

A strategic hub that uplifts Siruma, the Partido District, and the entire Camarines Sur

This is not just about concrete, piers, and ships.

This is about restoring relevance, reviving productivity, and bringing opportunity back to our coastal communities.

Grand and bold plans are always met with doubt.

Skeptics will question.

Naysayers will criticize.

But we will not be distracted.

Because we love this province.

And we will push—no matter how hard, no matter the obstacles, no matter the cost—to turn plans into reality and promises into progress.

Tandoc Seaport once connected Camarines Sur to the world.

It will do so again.

This is about legacy.

This is about people.

This is about building a future worthy of our history.

TANDOC SEAPORT

A Gateway to History. A Bridge to the Future.

Through the Provincial Government’s long-standing partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), over ₱50 million in educational subsidies were distributed to more than 2,500 grantees from various community colleges in Camarines Sur.

The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMSP) are among the initiatives offered by CHED-UniFAST to deserving and qualified students, designed to cover their educational expenses, such as tuition fees and school allowances.

Mirasol Veras, a 21-year-old student-grantee from Baao Community College who received ₱80,000 as a full scholar under the CMSP, shared, “Ito pong natanggap ko ngayon ay isang napakahalagang blessing para sa akin lalo na po sa pamilya ko. Matutulungan ko na rin po sila lalo na po at may isa rin po akong kapatid na graduating po ngayong taon. Matutulungan ko po siya sa kanyang bayarin at mabibili ko na din po yung hinahangad kong sariling laptop at printer. Nanghihiram lang po kasi ako.”

She added, “Marami pong salamat sa CHED kasi po isa po ako sa nabigyan ng ganitong pagkakataon. And kay Governor Lray Villafuerte, maraming salamat rin po lalo na po sa inyong pampublikong paaralan, marami po kayong natutulungang mga estudyante and sa ganito pong paraan, marami po ang makakapagtapos dahil po sa tulong ninyo.”

While some choose to be blind to progress and deaf to truth, CamSur moves forward.
