The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, in partnership with Google Philippines, successfully conducted a two-day Google Certified Educators (GCE) Training Level 1 and Level 2 for the teachers of the provincially-managed colleges held on December 4–5, 2025, at the Digital Transformation Center, Capitol Complex, Pili.
The program aimed at enhancing participants’ competencies in using Google Workspace for education, strengthening their proficiency in key Google tools through scenario-based activities, and preparing them for the international Level 1 and Level 2 Google Certification Exams.
Alvin Ceriola, a college instructor from Governor Mariano Villafuerte Community College Libmanan, emphasized the importance of the training in enriching his teaching practices. “Napakalaking bagay po nito para sa aming mga educators para mas ma-uplift ang mga students namin lalo na po ngayon sa integration ng technology when it comes to teaching. Yung knowledge po kasi namin is just the basic, and through this training, mas ma-uutilize po namin ito sa classroom,” he shared.
“Lalo na po ngayon, may hawak ako na thesis advisory, so maraming students ang nagdadala ng manuscripts for checking. Through Google Docs, madali na lang po ang editing. Matuturuan ko na din po ang mga students kung paano nila magagamit ang Google Docs, lalo na po sa thesis,” furthered Ceriola, highlighting its relevance to his role as a thesis adviser.
The training also underscored the province’s ongoing efforts to help educators adapt to evolving teaching methods. Through strategic partnerships and continuous upskilling programs, the Provincial Government ensures that teachers are equipped with practical tools and updated knowledge which strengthens classroom learning.
Adrian Cruz, Founder of Luke Beyond Digital Learning Solutions and Digital Transformation Manager supporting Google for Education Philippines, expressed his appreciation for the province’s strong support, sharing, “We’re happy that Governor Lray has been supportive in hosting the GCE Level 1 and 2 Bootcamp here in CamSur. We’re happy that we have a leader who is willing to support the professional development of his teachers.”
The two-day bootcamp highlights the province’s broader goal of delivering high-quality, technology-enhanced education to its communities. By investing in programs that empower educators, the Provincial Government ensures that students across Camarines Sur are prepared for the demands of a rapidly advancing digital world.
