The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur garnered multiple recognitions during the Year-End Performance Assessment (YEPA) 2025 of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office V held on November 26, 2025, at Gamboa Orchard, San Jose, Malilipot, Albay.
“We are very much grateful and na-appreciate mi itong pagtao ning onra sa samong opisina, na nahiling si samong mga kapagalan asin na-apreciar man ninda na dae kami nagpupundo na mag-implementar nin mga programa lalong-lalo na employment services, livelihood programs, and mga trainings and seminars,” expressed CamSur PESO Manager Rodresha Torallo, who was hailed as a Hall of Famer after three consecutive years of outstanding performance as Most Outstanding PESO Manager in the Provincial Category during YEPA.
Since its inception in 2003, the CamSur PESO has consistently strengthened and enhanced its services—from bringing job opportunities closer to communities through school and community-based job fairs, even in the farthest corners of the province, to conducting career coaching sessions that prepare graduating students for the workforce, and extending economic and psychosocial support to OFWs and their families. The CamSur PESO remains true to its mandate and values as an employment service office.
“Ang pinakaenot tang objective is ma-lessen ang unemployment. Kumbaga, madagdagan ta ang mga trabaho para sa mga taga Camarines Sur para maiwasan naman na mag-migrate sinda asin maparayo sa pamilya.”
Torallo also emphasized that for those who choose overseas work, the office ensures they avoid illegal recruitment and are connected only to legitimate companies. “Saro an satong opisina sa nagtutulod na makatao nin disenteng trabaho sa gabos.”
The CamSur PESO received the following awards during YEPA 2025:
- Top Performing PESO in Job Fair Program
- Top Performing PESO in Career Development Support Program
- Top Performing PESO - National Skills Registry Program (NSRP)
- Outstanding PESO – Provincial Level Category
- Outstanding PESO Manager – Provincial Level Category
- Hall of Famer PESO Manager
Camarines Sur was also nominated at the national level as Best PESO. While it did not clinch the award, it remains a significant achievement as CamSur was the only Bicol province to make it to the shortlist.
These commendable recognitions reflect the tireless efforts of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, led by Governor Lray Villafuerte, in addressing employment gaps, providing legitimate and sustainable livelihood opportunities, and supporting the holistic development of the province’s workforce—contributions that continue to significantly elevate the quality of life in CamSur.
Despite the awards, the CamSur PESO remains humble and focused on its mission. “Kaipuhan mas i-improve ta pa ta sabi ngani ni Gov. Lray, ‘don’t just do what is needed, do what is best’.”
The entire CamSur PESO team dedicates these recognitions to the people of Camarines Sur and affirms that as 2025 draws to a close, these awards will serve as an inspiration to work even harder in 2026 to better serve every Camarinense.
