The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Libmanan, conducted a Mega Job Fair on February 14, 2025 at the Libmanan Sports Complex.
Over 7,700 job vacancies in manufacturing, logistics, sales, and public service from local and overseas companies were offered to over 200 hopeful applicants across the province. Thirty-seven (37) of them were successfully hired on the spot.
Among the fortunate applicants was 33-year-old Ramon Isidro Jr. from Concepcion, Libmanan, who successfully landed a job as a warehouse picker.
“Magayon ta igwang siring na arog kaini na Job Fair, si mga mayong trabaho makakahanap ta igwang harani, kaya looking forward na ma-enhance pa an sakong skills sa bago kong trabaho. Salamat sa LGU Libmanan ki Mayor Jes, saka sa Provincial Government ki Gov. Luigi, sa opportunity na ini.”
Meanwhile, Libmanan Mayor Jes Camara reminded job seekers to value their work, saying, “Pag may trabaho, positibo asin may paglaom an mga pamilya. Kaya pagna-hire, padangaton po an trabaho, girumdumon ta po an kadipisilan habang mayo po kitang trabaho, asin pag nagkaigwa na nin employment, padangaton ini tanganing maghaloy kita asin magkaigwang room for improvement.”
Government agencies such as the Social Security System, Department of Labor and Employment, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and the Philippine Army were also present during the event to deliver an information drive and other social services. Many of the applicants also applied for the recruitment of Officer Candidate Course and Candidate Soldier Course of the Philippine Army.
The Southeast Asian Institute of Computer Technology of the Provincial Government also joined the job fair to offer free NC II training courses accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority that can enhance the chances of the applicants for employment.
The Provincial Government has been consistent in providing job opportunities through local and overseas recruitment activities to boost economic growth, strengthen the workforce, and foster community engagement among Camarinenses.
