The Miss Kaogma candidates donning their Kaogma Festival Costume Candidate No. 15 Ma. Princess Dessarey Cacho from Sipocot, Camarines Sur
May 23, 2024

The festival costume draws inspiration from the Tapis and Bahag worn by the Agta indigenous community in Camarines Sur. It embodies the joy of diverse cultures and celebrates agricultural abundance. The costume includes a back basket with a rice plant and the sun as the centerpiece, representing happiness and optimism. The headdress features floral motifs, symbolizing ornamental and flower gardening, which are critical resources of regional agriculture. The "balagwit" pays homage to farmers' toil, symbolizing resilience and community balance. Warm-toned colors convey warmth and joy, while cool-toned hues depict the bountiful agriculture of Bicol. The overall aesthetic reflects the rich agricultural heritage of Bicol, blending femininity with a strong, empowered image of womanhood.
See you tomorrow at the coronation night!
