
Building a Digitally Capable Youth: CamSur's ICT Web Defense Highlights Student Talent

The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, through the Information, Communication, Archives, and Records Management Office (ICARMO), successfully conducted the ICT Web Defense from March 24 to 25, 2025 at Rodriguez National High School, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur.
As part of the Digital Literacy Program, the event provided a platform for Grade 11 ICT students to showcase their expertise in web development, including web design using Canva and Figma and web programming with HTML, CSS, and PHP. During the web defense, Jonalie Quillosa Alvarez, ICT teacher at RNHS and Hernanie Valeza Morales, web developer at ICARMO, served as panelists and recognized the students' communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and confidence as they present their technical projects. They also highlighted the importance of modern classrooms in enhancing digital literacy and preparing the youth for their future endeavors.
Through this initiative, students are capacitated with the technical skills and critical thinking abilities necessary for academic and professional success. The Provincial Government continues to advocate for technological advancement in education and reaffirm its commitment to nurturing young innovators and equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in the digital era.
