ICYMI: The Department of Agriculture is set to construct a mega cold storage facility in Camarines Sur to support Bicolano farmers. This initiative is part of a broader ₱3-billion cold chain program—including the development of 99 cold storage sites nationwide, renewable-powered refrigerated warehouses, and modular units—aimed at extending the shelf life of produce, reducing losses, stabilizing prices, and enhancing food security.

Alongside this facility, a 10-hectare “Bagsakan ng Bayan” will also rise through a partnership between the DA and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, led by Governor Lray Villafuerte. This centralized trading post will serve farmers from Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte—boosting regional trade and improving market access.
