To strengthen our national defense and improve disaster response, we filed a measure establishing the Philippine Unmanned Aerial Systems Program (PUASP).

Through this program, our Armed Forces will be equipped with military-grade drones to:

Secure our borders and maritime areas

Support anti-terrorism and anti-insurgency operations

Aid in disaster response and search-and-rescue missions

Deliver supplies and medical aid to hard-to-reach communities

Assist in environmental protection and climate monitoring

The bill also promotes research and development in partnership with universities and tech start-ups, ensuring we can locally build, maintain, and advance drone technology for the long term.

With this measure, we push for a modern, efficient, and responsive military that is ready to protect our people and serve in times of need.
