To further strengthen both our national defense and our disaster response, we filed House Bill 1363 or the Military Air Asset Rehabilitation and Modernization Act, a measure that seeks to rehabilitate, refurbish, and recommission decommissioned military helicopters and aircraft.

Through this, we aim to:

Enhance our ability to respond to natural disasters and emergencies

Support military patrols and border security in the West Philippine Sea

Reduce reliance on costly foreign procurement by maximizing existing assets

Support local aviation industries, including parts manufacturing, retrofitting, and repair

This bill ensures that old yet operational aircraft can still serve the Filipino people by protecting lives, defending sovereignty, and promoting cost-effective modernization of our Armed Forces.
