The Department of Agriculture (DA) turned over P75.03 million worth of agricultural interventions to CamSur farmers held at Fuerte CamSur Sports Complex, Cadlan, Pili, on April 12, 2024. 💚
Among the agricultural interventions is the P10.64 million financial aid under DA’s Rice Farmers Financial Assistance. A total of 2,128 rice farmers from the municipalities of Gainza, Milaor, Bombon, Camaligan, Magarao, Pili, and Naga City received financial assistance worth P5,000 each.
In addition, under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) – Mechanization Component of DA and the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech), another P64.4 million worth of farm equipment were awarded to various farmer associations.
Leading the distribution was DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr., along with CamSur Gov Luigi Villafuerte, 2nd District Congressman Lray Villafuerte, and DA Regional Executive Director Rodel Tornilla.
