With tears, applause, and tassels turned, the Governor Mariano Villafuerte Community College (GMVCC) – Libmanan marked a defining milestone in the lives of 406 graduates during its 4th Commencement Exercises on June 19–20, 2025. With the theme “Batch 2025: Life Champions and Future-Ready Professionals of the 21st Century,” the celebration captured the spirit of perseverance, purpose, and progress — hallmarks of a memorable graduation.
More than a ceremony, it was a tribute to journeys shaped by late-night studies, family sacrifices, and unrelenting grit. From solo parents to working students, each diploma told a story of resilience. The celebration marked the culmination of hard work and dedication for 189 students who earned degrees in Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and 217 Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) majors in Automotive, Electrical, and Electronics Technology.
Among them was 40-year-old solo parent, Ma. Theresa Sabio, who balanced motherhood and studies with unwavering determination. Her words resonated deeply with the crowd, turning personal victory into collective pride.
At the heart of this transformation is the synergy between GMVCC’s mission and the Provincial Government’s vision: to mold students into future-ready individuals equipped not just with academic knowledge but with life skills, values, and a deep sense of community. Through innovative, hands-on programs, industry-aligned training, and values-based education, GMVCC graduates are prepared to adapt, lead, and thrive in a fast-evolving world, anchored in the values of service, excellence, and resilience.
This collective success is a direct result of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur’s unwavering commitment to free, accessible, and quality education. Through the leadership of Governor Luigi Villafuerte, GMVCC has flourished into a beacon of opportunity, proving that free education is not merely a program, but a promise kept.
GMVCC continues to expand its impact beyond Libmanan, with campuses in Baao, Siruma, Tinambac, Garchitorena, Caramoan, and more to be established, offering more students the same chance to transform their lives. The Libmanan campus proudly offers degrees in Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, and Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education with majors in Automotive, Electrical, and Electronics Technology programs designed to equip students with both purpose and profession.
As the Class of 2025 marches beyond the stage, they carry more than academic achievements; they carry the future of Camarines Sur.
