Over 130 TESDA scholars under its Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) in Rinconada have received their training allowance. ❤
The scholars from the municipalities of Balatan, Buhi, Bato, Nabua, and Iriga City underwent training for national certification of TESDA-accredited courses namely Dressmaking, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Cookery, Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM), and Electronic Product Assembly and Servicing (EPAS). 🪡🔌

The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, through its Public Employment Service Office (CamSur PESO), in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Garchitorena, conducted a consecutive job fair and career coaching activity from February 29 to March 1, 2024, at the Municipal Covered Court, Poblacion, Garchitorena.
"Dakulang oportunidad ini sa mga taga Garchitorena, dakulang tabang," Edna Valencia, PESO Manager of Garchitorena, said stressing the tremendous help the activity extended to their people. Through the job fair, job hunting has become a lot more convenient for the hopeful applicants as it not only saved them time from a long trip of going from company to company, but it also saved them from spending a considerable amount of money.
Subsequently, the Career Development Service Program (CDSP) of the CamSur PESO, in cooperation with Southeast Asian Institute of Computer Technology (SEAict), held among the students of Governor Mariano E. Villafuerte Community College - Garchitorena, was proven invaluable and informative as it helped guide the students to navigate professional life and discover unique skills to unlock their full potential. ❤

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), under its Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Program, in close coordination with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur led by Gov Luigi Villafuerte, the Office of 5th District Representative Congressman Migz Villafuerte and the Local Government Unit of Balatan, distributes educational assistance amounting P25,000 each to over 200 college students of Balatan.
"This one po is very helpful po sa katulad naming mga estudyante like me na college student po na nagmula sa mahirap na pamilya," shared one of the SMART scholars, Jay-Ar Fortunado of Duran, Balatan. Fortunado is a 3rd year college student of Baao Community College pursuing Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English. He shared his gratitude for being among the scholars of the SMART program especially as he is possibly the very first in his family to finish higher education.
CHED-SMART Distribution in Balatan as one of the strategies under the National Employment Recovery Strategy to help bolster the success of students in completing their higher education through a scholarship grant, as the world recovers and transitions away from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
