Gov Luigi Villafuerte of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur led the launching of the newest Eye Clinic-on-Wheels on May 31, 2024, at the Libmanan Sports Complex, Libmanan, CamSur.

The Eye Clinic-on-Wheels offers complete eye exams for free including tests for visual acuity, refraction, keratometry, retinoscopy, cover, eye movement, and 3D/depth perception. It also provides optical care and services such as comprehensive eye examination, color vision assessment, slit-lamp testing, tonometry /checkup for glaucoma, and eyeglasses dispensing and lens replacement.

This opta bus is only an addition to the already advanced programs of the province when it comes to health. The Provincial Government already has the Hospital-on-Wheels, Dental Clinic-on-Wheels, Women’s Wellness-on-Wheels, Medical Diagnostic Van, and Laboratory Diagnostic Bus.

Upholding its commitment to prioritizing the health of Camarinenses and bringing medical services a lot closer to its people, the Provincial Government, through the Provincial Health Office Cam Sur will continue to round the province bringing with them the medical busses to provide free medical care.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the distribution of land titles, support services and Presidential assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families in Pili, Camarines Sur on 7 June 2024.

Joining the President in distributing assistance to the beneficiaries and communities affected by El Niño are different government agencies. The Department of Agriculture (DA) provides significant agricultural aid, including hybrid rice seeds, fertilizer vouchers, cassava granulators, pumping sets, yellow corn seeds, inorganic fertilizers and Gulayan sa Barangay packages worth PhP649,250.

The Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) distributes 30 bags of certified inbred rice seeds while the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) donates three (3) four-wheel drive tractors.

Other agencies present to distribute assistance include the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) with its provision of funds amounting to PhP170,000 for rapid nursery propagation projects for sugarcane; the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) with its Agri Negosyo Program; the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) with its provision of gears and fingerlings for fishing communities; and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), which are turning over bikes and agri machineries.

The DAR, in cooperation with key stakeholders, is likewise presenting the completion of several Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) projects across Camarines Sur which are seen to improve the delivery of goods and services in the Province.

Apart from these, the Chief Executive hands over around 2,115 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) covering 3,328.0973 hectares of land benefitting 1,965 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) across Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Albay, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.

He also distributes PhP10,000 each to select beneficiaries from Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur, aside from the monetary support for their respective provincial governments, and oversees the DOLE's aid to its TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) beneficiaries and the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) aid to its AKAP (Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program) recipients.
